Outline of the Project

We’re excited to invite you to Play, Reflect, Act!—an awesome Erasmus+ funded project for 13-18-year-olds that mixes video games with real-life lessons on important topics like diversity, inclusion, and discrimination.

Thanks to Erasmus+ support, with our Turkish partner we’ve designed super fun and interactive workshops that use video games to explore big issues in a way that’s engaging and relatable. You’ll get to play games like Sibel’s Journey and Leila’s Play, both created specifically to help you better understand things like gender identity, neurodiversity, and accessibility. Moreover, by the end of the workshops, you will learn how to design your own digital games on social matters you choose to address!

In Sibel’s Journey, you’ll dive into topics like body image, relationships, and gender identity through the eyes of a character you can totally relate to. It’s a safe space to explore these ideas and reflect on your own identity.

Leila’s Play switches things up by letting you solve a detective mystery while learning about disability, inclusion, and the everyday lives of people with different abilities.

But it’s not just about playing games— Two full days are dedicated to guiding you through the process of designing your own digital games on a topic you value! It’s a great opportunity to learn the basics of video game design with a hands-on approach. Multiple experts will be there to support you while you work on the project with your teammates, and the best part is: No prior experience is required to participate!

Play, Reflect, Act! gives you space for deep conversations and taking action.  Each workshop includes time for you to share your thoughts, ask questions, and reflect on what you’ve learned in a supportive group. Through these talks, you’ll build critical thinking skills and be encouraged to think about how you can make a difference in your own community.

For parents, this project is a great way to see their children take part in something fun and meaningful. Our workshops create a safe environment where young people can dive into complex social issues, grow in confidence, and take away valuable life lessons. Plus, since the project is funded by Erasmus+, it’s totally free—so everyone can join!

We’re also all about feedback! Your input helps us make the workshops even better, so we’ll be listening closely to what you have to say and improving the experience based on your ideas.

Whether you’re passionate about social justice, love gaming, or just want to try something new, Play, Reflect, Act! is for you. These workshops, happening in both Turkey and Germany, combine gaming with real-world conversations, giving you the chance to play, reflect, and take action on the topics that really matter.
